God made the earth and all that is known
to be everything to man - a perfect home.

But the master of deception,
Satan, slithered in
promoting our plight which was labeled
as sin.

Knowledge of both good and evil began,
and through man, quickly spread
throughout the land.

Knowing sin's price was death for us all,
God planned His gift - the blessed miracle.

From the womb of a virgin,
God's son came to this earth
as a babe who was named Jesus
upon His birth.

For in a stable was born the king of kings,
the blessed redeemer who would be sinless
in all things.

The writings above have long since occurred
and can be found in the Bible,
God's Holy Word.

Jesus lived, died, and was resurrected
for all of mankind
so that through Him eternal life
we can assuredly find.

So when you unwrap your gifts
on Christmas morn,
remember the reason that Jesus was born.

The Savior who lived and died to set free
the sinners of the world,
yes you and, yes, me.
